Transitional Waves

Image
It has been quite long time I pursued my hobbies. Seems everything are under transition. Preference and priorities are the two entities which determine the way of life. These two are so strong that it needs to be adjusted with time else it will adjust you in some corner. Recently I stopped hovering over my old mate(lappy). Books which has been my best pal still looks at me to get noticed. And I can see people doing good who were book worm only at the examination hall. Lots to learn are still in the dish of life. So keep walking and unfailingly get recharged every time when you feel low. Cheers!!!

Budget 2012-13- the expectation and meeting of it.

The UPA Govt. has seen lots of transitional waves that would have erupted the party and would have abolished the Congress forever from the name of politics. But what got proved from the activites of these people- Ye politiks hai Bhaiya saare bhed aur pench lagane padte hai. Humne etne saalo se desh chalya hai aur bahut sare waves dekhe hain..  Let me make very clear that I have nothing to do with the parties and politics but indeed with what I get on my Rupee spent(Kamana bahut muskil hai bhaiya). The breeze of budget are already touching the nerves of people. Now this could be apt opportunity for Govt. to get a favor from the mass provided they should not leave the loops and holes to adjust the budgets in their own Bank A/Cs. CONCERNS "Food prices remained negative for the second consecutive week, falling to (-) 2.9 per cent for the week ended December 31, 2011. It was above 19 per cent in the corresponding week of 2010." At one side if the food prices goes down the fa...

Obama or Osama

The murky deed is never appreciated and it get nabbed sooner or later into its own designed webs. The economist never clarify the things still the analysis is quite commendable. The recent article on Osama speak silently about the threat US has created among the civilian of Pakistan. One of the reader writes- " Pakistan is way beyond spooked or humiliated, it was illegally invaded by a foreign country in a criminal operation. If it is legal for the US to go off to another country and kill anyone they want, then 911 was also a legal action. International laws exist for good reasons, and breaking them for convenience leads to really really bad outcomes. Right now the entire Obama team is probably in a huge panic after they realize the legal consequences of their action. They shot and killed bin Laden who was unarmed, and it was done without trial, in a foreign country, by an invading force, thus is a war crime no matter how you justify it. Worse, the act was live fed to the white h...

The Cricket Mania

Image
The Cricket World cup 2011 is over but still the hype is in the air.  To some extent it is justified for seeking a reason by the people to celebrate and politician to make futile effort to win the sentiments of mass and media. One can understand the soppiness of people with the cricket but sometimes it ignores the honor and sanctity of nation and its heroes. Is it right to hype the game to this extent? Specially talking about cricket. Most of the participants were from developing countries and most of them are smaller than the many of Indian States. The game is not our national game. Moreover the game has restricted outreach. Seems people love easy going things. India do not even qualify in few qualifying rounds of FIFA.  Apart from all these the question to ponder is- why there is demand of honouring Tendulkar with Bharat Ratna? The award Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian honour, given for exceptional service towards advancement of Art, Literature and Science, and in...

Agriculture- Ought to or to be Out???

Image
Let us have a short overview on what we did in last few years in agriculture- Today we have stock of around 47 Mn MT of wheat and rice and there is utter mismanagement in even storage of these commodities. The buffer norm says that the quantity should be 25 Mn MT in Jan and 32 Mn MT in July (peak). I don’t see any well and notable steps taken in this direction except to invent the issue of storage where these commodities are laying in open air to get perished. In 2006 and 2007 we realised the shortage of wheat so we did buying at Rs. 920 a quintal whereas the MSP was Rs. 750 per quintal. Similarly in 2007-08 we purchased @ Rs. 1500 per qtl against an MSP of Rs. 1000. In 2008-09, we exported 5.5 Mn tonnes of surplus sugar while in 2009-10, there was a shortfall in production of sugar and we ended up by importing 2.4 Mn tonnes of it. One thing that eludes me is that why we become hypersensitive once we had bad experience in last few years? Why cannot we go rationally which wor...

What the hell Media is doing..

I vehemently oppose the disclosure of 2G spectrum case and the matters that are brought into public under its cover. The private calls are tapped and published for the mass. Presenting the half conversation is always dangerous as it drives lots of meanings. The communication gap created thereof may be cozening particularly when we are analysing the business tycoons. For minsters I don’t put any comments as they are the choice of public and damn corrupt except few. Very sad part is that the best newspaper and news media are also cumulating the issue along with the local one. At least they should be professional enough and publish the news in the best interest of society and nation. If this will continue I am afraid to tell that it will scourge the image of India as the best business site and the country like China will have undue advantage of it. Rather thinking and analysing properly our media are in great haste to bring something new to the readers. If the private calls ...
